Built to last
Fuel-grade urethane tubing: long service life; heat-cured straight for easy storage and controlled dispensing.
Glass-reinforced polypropylene fittings: extremely durable; ready for intermittent fuel exposure and real-world use for the long haul.
Viton O-ring: machined O-ring seat in the threads positions the seal exactly where the factory spout does to help prevent leaks.
Design advantages
Internal-thread interface: installs into the internal threads of the MFC opening (the standard spout uses the external threads).
Wide chemical & environmental resistance: moisture, fungi, weathering, tearing, abrasion, and impact; approx. -85 °F brittle to 175 °F melt window for the tubing.

Use care when installing to avoid cross-threading and damage to the can’s threads.

Added some hand filed notches in the Scepter cap wrench for the spout to help snug the spout up.

I saw versions like this originally and was like I make something like that. I did and yea it worked okay, but it leaked, was difficult to connect and really had to be tightened down. Then there was the need to get special adhesives that are fuel resistant.
Used my homemade version once and immediately threw it in the trash and ordered this. The quality of this spout is great and the gasket ensures a positive seal without the need to over tighten. Look forward to many years of use from it.
